Highgate OA 2024 Call for Candidates

On Monday, October 14, 2024 at 7:00 pm, Highgate Owners’ Association, Inc. will be holding their 2024 Annual Meeting. This year, two (2) members will be elected to the Board of Directors. Board members serve a three-year term. The Annual Meeting will be held at H-B Woodlawn Secondary School located at 1601 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22209. Voting will be done electronically through a third-party vendor, Vote HOA Now. All owners will be receiving additional voting information and instructions in the near future on the election process.
All owners who are interested in running for election to the Board of Directors, must complete and submit the enclosed Application for Candidacy Form to meetingprep.dcmetro@fsresidential.com no later than 5:00 pm on August 31, 2024, for inclusion in the Annual Meeting mailing. Since this year’s Annual Meeting will be held in-person, the Association will be able to allow nominations from the floor at the meeting in the event there are not at least four candidates who have submitted applications. In the event there are at least four candidates who submit applications for candidacy there will not be any nominations allowed from the floor. Please note that all Application for Candidacy forms received will be provided to the membership as written and pursuant to the Bylaws. Only members (Owners of Record) may serve on the Board.
If you do not submit an Application for Candidacy form by the deadline, and there are at least four (4) candidates, you will NOT have an opportunity to submit a statement after that deadline or be nominated from the floor at the Annual Meeting.
